We repeatedly ordered the seed packets with the bee meadow mix. When we tried it ourselves in the garden, the result was huge, extremely robust plants. So we'll definitely order again.

Is it really possible to be ecological, sustainable, and bee-friendly?! PLANT NATIVE WILDFLOWERS! For the insects, for nature, for us, for everyone! As I've read, you're aware that your seed packets mostly contain non-native neophytes. You should urgently reconsider this. Since your seed packets are so widely distributed (congratulations on that), you bear a responsibility and have a great opportunity to do something good. You use terms like "sustainable" and "bee meadow" for your packets. This creates a false impression. To truly have an ecological benefit and be a (wild) bee meadow, they would have to be native. Experience shows, and as your examples/references demonstrate, advertisers use these packets to convey an ecological, nature-friendly, bee-friendly, and regional impression. This is how consumers understand them. There is no list of ingredients on your packets. Even with an ingredient list, most users wouldn't know that most of the seeds aren't native, and many aren't even aware of the importance of native plants. The advertisers probably aren't aware of this either; your description gives the opposite impression. If you continue to stick with this seed mix, you should at least point this out to advertisers and users! Please consider that these mixes not only offer no benefit to insects, but they also occupy garden space that could otherwise be used in a much more ecologically sound way. It's time and opportunity to bring a truly good product to the world and really leave a big green footprint! Use your position to convey this very idea to your customers. Your seed packets would be so much better! You can do it! 😃👍
Owner's reply Thank you for your feedback. "Non-native plants," so-called neophytes, are not inherently bad or harmful. Neophytes are defined as ALL plants that were introduced by humans after 1492 (the "discovery" of America) into areas where they were not previously native. This includes many plants, such as sunflowers, coriander, and dill. Many neophytes, like phacelia, buckwheat, and sunflowers, offer a very long flowering period and fill gaps where native species have often already finished blooming. This provides a continuous food source for insects. Phacelia and buckwheat, in particular, are considered extremely rich in nectar and pollen. They thus support not only honeybees but also many other flower-visiting insects. Some neophytes loosen the soil (e.g., buckwheat), promote humus formation, or fix nitrogen (e.g., clover species). This improves soil quality in the long term—a benefit for subsequent vegetation. Native species are increasingly suffering from drought. Some non-native plants are significantly more climate-resilient, thus ensuring a supply of flowers for insects even in dry summers. The neophytes in our mix are not invasive and pose no threat to native ecosystems.

We've now ordered the small seed packets for the second time, as we give them to our guests as a small thank you after our airport tours. This little token of appreciation, with its lighthearted environmental message, is very well received. We hope that, thanks to "Seedball Factory," we've made the world a little more colorful in our community and will continue to do so with this new delivery.

Communication was unfortunately inadequate. I accidentally uploaded the wrong print file and sent the correct version by email less than an hour later. Unfortunately, I received no response for three days, and now it seems they've produced and shipped using the old file. It's a shame – this could have been avoided with minimal communication. For custom orders, I would have expected significantly more care in customer service; the 500 packages are now useless to me.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the Seedball Factory! The concept is not only creative, but also completely sustainable and sensible. The small balls filled with plant seeds are a simple yet effective way to transform dreary spaces into blooming oases – and you don't even need a green thumb! You simply throw the seedballs onto bare soil, wait for rain (or water them yourself), and the colorful blooms begin. I think it's particularly nice that environmental protection, biodiversity, and aesthetics go hand in hand here. The seed mixes are well thought out, regionally adapted, and bee-friendly – a real plus for our native nature! The seedballs are also simply brilliant as gifts: unusual, lovingly packaged, and with a beautiful message. I've given them away several times, and each time they've been met with great joy. Whether as a small souvenir or a sustainable alternative to traditional bouquets, this idea is sure to be remembered. A fantastic project with heart and soul – I highly recommend the Seedball Factory!

Daniel, you and your team are simply fantastic! I think the idea of using sustainable promotional gifts in the form of seeds is brilliant. Your seed packets, seed bombs, and flower bulbs in particular are a great way to bring nature back into the city and help bees and other insects. Your products are an excellent alternative to plastic promotional gifts and show that environmental protection can also be creative and beautiful. Thank you, Daniel and team, for your great work and commitment to the environment. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. Requests for callbacks are ignored; generally, you can only hope for a response by email a day later at the earliest (if at all). Therefore, they are useless for an urgent order. In general, their customer service definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Edit 2025: As we told the Seedball Factory at the time, we needed the packages for my father's funeral. Planning ahead is rather difficult. 🥴 The fact that it wasn't possible at such short notice wasn't the problem at all; that's very understandable. What really annoyed us, however, was that we had communicated from the beginning that we needed the packages on short notice, but despite contacting various employees and requests for callbacks, we were only given a very late cancellation. :( And even the cancellation only came as an email and without any apology or anything like that. Fortunately, we were able to find another company that could fulfill our order (even at short notice).
Owner's reply Dear Ms. Zimmermann, thank you for your feedback. Please note that orders for promotional materials with custom printing require a certain lead time to ensure timely delivery and the desired quality. A request four days before an event unfortunately doesn't give us sufficient flexibility for reliable implementation. I recommend that you plan ahead in the future. Sincerely, Daniel Gollasch

I've ordered from here several times and have been very satisfied every time. The quality of the flower seeds is excellent, as is the packaging. What initially convinced me was that you could order small quantities "on a trial basis," and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right, both for small and large quantities.

I was genuinely shocked to see that some seeds here are referred to with fictitious names instead of botanically correct ones. The mix in the seed packets clearly contains few native plants. Some invasive neophytes are being distributed here, declared "sustainable." I find this completely inappropriate for someone who advertises their BUND past. I would very much like to edit this post and give it five stars – specifically if the seed packets contain native seeds. I'm looking forward to it!
Owner's reply Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that we are very conscious of not using any invasive species in our mixes. The plants you mentioned are either tried-and-tested garden plants or species that pose no threat to native ecosystems. Our seed mixes are primarily intended for private gardens and landscaped areas, not for reintroduction projects in nature reserves. We deliberately use trade names to make selection easier and more accessible for our customers – we naturally maintain correct botanical names internally. Please feel free to contact us directly at any time if you have any questions about individual plant species or mixes. Sincerely, Daniel Gollasch

I ordered seed packets from Seedball Factory as a sustainable gift for our wedding guests. It worked out great, and everyone was really happy. My self-made template wasn't quite ideal for printing, but the people at Seedball Factory pointed this out to me and easily corrected it for me (I'm not very knowledgeable about this). Thank you for that.

I advise against doing business with this company! The delivered goods gave me cause for complaint. I never received a response to four emails and one registered letter, so legal action must be taken. If it were possible, I would have given them zero stars.
