SEEDBALL FACTORY was founded by Daniel Gollasch, who previously worked with environmental organizations such as BUND and spent many years as a scientific advisor in the German Bundestag.
The idea for SEEDBALL FACTORY was born in 2016 during his campaign for the Berlin House of Representatives in the Berlin-Mitte district. Instead of traditional giveaways, he handed out seed packets and seedballs – small blooming ambassadors for a better world. The response was overwhelming. Soon, colorful flowers were blooming on balconies and in front gardens all across the district – proof that sustainable promotional items leave a lasting impression.
What started as a creative idea has since grown into a well-established company with a dedicated team and satisfied clients from politics, business, and civil society.

For memorial services with fewer guests, or where individual personalization is not needed, our seed packets without custom print are available from 1 piece. They come in a range of ready-made designs and contain the same seed mixes as our custom-printed versions.

The Seeds Inside
Our seed packets contain bee meadow flower mixes, sunflower seeds or kitchen herb mixes. The bee meadow mix is a natural fit for a memorial: it grows into a flowering habitat that returns each year, attracting bees and butterflies. It does not need a garden. A balcony container or a window box is enough.
Each packet includes planting instructions and can be sown directly after the service.
